Specialist in Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry

          Dr. Maya Mathai was born as a Leo in 1971 at Kuwait. Did her schooling at Carmel school, Kuwait and at Deogiri College, Aurangabad.

          In 1994, she graduated from College of Dental Surgery, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, under Manipal Academy of Higher Education. She is enrolled as a Fellow of Academy of General Education, Manipal.

          She started her practice in dentistry in 1995 at Kolabhagathu Dental & Orthodontic Speciality Centre, Pathanamthitta. Since then she has treated a large number of cases and attended several dental treatment camps conducted in association with various service organizations in and around Pathanamthitta District.

          In 2007 she joined for Post graduate Course in Aesthetic Dentistry at ManipalCollege of Dental Surgery, Kasturba Medical College Manipal under Manipal University.

 She became the Chairperson of DOWWA, the ladies wing of Indian Dental Association, Pathanamthitta District branch in 2006 and took the initiative in conducting several programmes for the benefit of members and public like health check ups, rural camps, free subscription of reputed journals for all the members, financial aid to orphanages, interstate family tours, trainings in home managements, family meets etc. The activities enabled the branch for the first time to receive two state awards - one, for the exemplary activities and the other for the international quality journal.

She is married to Dr. Samuel K.Ninan and is blessed with two children, Adarsh Ninan Sam & Aishwarya Rachel Sam
